Who's Ready for Fall?

Here in Central Oregon, we are getting closer to Fall. I guess everyone is on the calendar, but we are in reality. The leaves are turning, the nights are cold and you may just wake up to a bit of frost in the mornings. I'm not a poet, but that sounds very romantic.
What does Fall mean to you? I can tell you what it means to me!!  I can also tell you what it means to Central Oregon! When you think of Fall, it's not the Pumpkin Spice that comes up first is it?🤞🤞
For me it's things like less people on the trails, beautiful weather, long drives to enjoy the changing of the colors, squash, soups, fleece, I know it's all simple things. Fall in Central Oregon is the best time of the year in my opinion, the weather is great as it's typically in the mid 70's. This is the time of the year that I go through the closet and find all the cloths that I didn't wear the last 12 months and donate them, then I find all the cozy clothes that I haven't worn in probably 6 months and get really excited for cooler weather and squash soup.
If you are joining us here in Central Oregon for Fall then you have all the best comfort foods to look forward to, I feel like this is when our restaurants menus are at their best. Fall foods pair better with beer and wine and fresh hop season is in full bloom!! Gary just harvested some of his hops last week and we still have many on the vines that we are waiting patiently for. 😍
Events and Festivals are in full swing and they started last weekend with the Sisters Folk Festival! If you missed it, put it on the calendar for next year! Bend is well known for events like Brewfest and Bite of Bend, but it's also known of its fantastic Roots Revival Festival, Bend Fall Festival, Bend Film Festival and Oktoberfest! All of these events events happening in or near Downtown Bend. Fall Festival has always been my favorite and of course it comes back to the food, but I'm not embarrassed by that. All of these and more events, concerts, theatre, art walks, etc are all on the Visit Bend website.
If you aren't into Festivals, Central Oregon does not have a shortage of Pumpkin Patches. Smith Rock Ranch and DD Ranch are both great spots to enjoy some pumpkin picking and hay rides.
Central Oregon may not be known for it's maple tree lined streets, but you can see some of the most beautiful Fall beauty here. Check out  an of these areas; Shevlin Park, Hollinshead Park, Drake Park, Old Mill District, Metolius River or the Deschutes River Trail.
We hope you will join us this fall and take advantage of our Fall Special- promo code fall19-book 3 or more nights on our website and you will receive 15% the rate.  I mean come on...how could you say no to that??
